Bill Cosby Couldn’t ‘Read’ That His Alleged Rape Victim Was A Lesbian

“Nope, that ginger ale wasn’t for me. It wasn’t for me. Here we go…”

During his 2005 deposition for Andrea Constand’s civil suit, Bill Cosby repeatedly boasted about his talent for reading women and his convenient ability to ascertain consent based on those readings. He essentially painted himself as some sort of sexual Svengali, and at one point even claimed that he made Andrea Constand orgasm. He even knew she was satisfied about the sexual encounter – in which she claims he drugged then raped her – because she didn’t leave in a “huff.”

“I walk her out. She does not look angry. She does not say to me, ‘Don’t ever do that again.’ She doesn’t walk out with an attitude of a huff – because I think that I’m a pretty decent reader of people and their emotions in these romantic sexual things, whatever you want to call them,” Cosby said in the deposition, according to the Times.

Except Bill Cosby failed to read one, small, very minor detail: Andrea Constand is a lesbian.

In the filing, attorney Dolores Troiani slams Cosby as a narcissist who didn’t realize Constand (who was in a relationship with a woman at the time of the alleged assault) is gay.
“In his narcissistic view of the world, defendant believes that plaintiff’s every Tweet must be about him,” Troiani wrote. “He is as perceptive in this belief as he claims to be in his interpretation of non-verbal cues from women he wants to seduce.
“As defendant admits in his deposition, despite his talent for interpreting female reactions to him, he did not realize plaintiff was gay until the police told him,” she wrote.

“What do you mean a lesbian? What do you mean by that?”
“She’s attracted to women and has a girlfriend.”
“Well, that doesn’t make any sense. So you’ll scuttle this, right?”
“You bet your ass. Night, Dr. Cosby!”
