I have breast cancer and I’m 26 years old and have dealt with it through laughter, and to many it is surprisingly strange because I don’t like to bitch and moan even though I have every right to. Cancer is not a joke, chemotherapy is not losing your hair it is that and more. It is basically poison that kills off every working cell in your body slowly and horribly. That is true, look it up. the pain and the torture one must endure during this time is not only inhumane phsycially but mentally as well. the amount of times I wanted to kill myself just to stop the torture have reached an epic level.

We live in a judegemental world. People are all selfish, all of us. I sometimes catch myself crying in pain, physical and emotional over having my breast painfully cut off and believe me the reconstructive work is not easy either , and then I realize that I am still alive and I shouldn’t be so down when billions of people go to sleep every night on an empty stomach. Does that mean all cancer patients have to follow this attitude? does that mean a handicapped person should? no. So don’t attack each other because you have different views and mechanisims of recovery.

And Ali is right, as hard it is for you as it was for me to read this joke, think of the many reasons people come to this site. We make fun of people. People we don’t know who happen to make billions of dollars none of us will ever see. It’s not healthy. We’re all fucking bored and have nothing better to do…

I am a fan of this site for the writer only- got a crush on him- but occasionally I check the comments to see how predictable people can be. I knew it would just blow your minds that a woman with a shaved head can have a good body; and was I mostly right?

First off, post #10: How can you call this woman a whore when she is only topless? We need a less puritanical jury here. In parts of France my friend’s 70 year old mother goes to the beach topless. And is she shaved her head. She is not going for a conventional style of beauty. Independent thought, what a concept.

Second, post #13, Get better soon. I think that’s what these assholes meant to say. And I am very sorry for your ordeal.

Finally, I want to add that I shaved my head when I was 20 years old to take a hiatus from being hit on constantly. To focus on, oh I don’t know, INNER BEAUTY. I recommend every hot woman do the same. Your entire world will change for the better because you develop skills outside of using men. And it grows back anyway. It was a cathartic experience.
