Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice hasn’t even had a chance to make theatergoers go, “Daddy, why did Batman want Superman to bleed so much?” but already Warner Bros. has announced a standalone Batman film starring, written and directed by Ben Affleck making it almost 100% pure Batfleck with a dash of Geoff Johns. Which is really what fans wanted after making eight million jokes about Batman talking with a Boston accent. Haha, they say their R’s funny! Deadline reports:
My studio sources tell me that Affleck and Johns are well in synch and have more than found their rhythm. In fact, they are likely to turn in a script before the end of the summer, prior to Affleck going off to direct Live By Night in November. Affleck postponed that pic to star in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. The Batman movie would shoot after he finishes Live By Night, and the plot would reflect the Batman character that emerges after Batman V Superman and Justice League, the latter of which comes out November 17, 2017.
So basically Ben Affleck left his wife and kids to never stop being Batman which I’m not going to lie is exactly how I would’ve played it. – *listens to Photo Boy whisper in his ear* – Didn’t lock them in the house and set it on fire? Then never mind, this is something different.
