I thought a bit of Burt Reynolds in there.

Her sunglasses mask the terrified look in her eyes that normally occurs when she smiles.

Someone should let her know the auditions as a zombie extra on “The Walking Dead” are much simpler that making your own music video:

re: Amanda Bynes: 'My Dad Asked To Have Sex With Me' (35 comments)

To Amanda, her parents DID “lock her up” before, and she wants to make sure they don’t do it again. Since they have arrived in NYC to encourage those who catch her in a crime to prosecute, they are a threat and needed to be nuteralized (in her mind).

Her retraction (as noted in the next “Amanda” post) after her irrational attack is “pretty much textbook” actions of someone suffering from schezophrenia.

Bingo. Just because she’s rapidly running downhill, doesn’t mean that she’s stupid. She know’s mom and dad had her locked up once and could start the process to do it again, so she has to sully them as conservators in hopes of keeping from getting locked up and losing control again.

The shameful process is part of the legacy of the Reagan Presidency:

I have a friend who went through the process of dealing with a schizophrenic child several years ago. After over a year, it took her leaving him in the Riker’s Psych ward for three weeks (she refused to post bail after his arrest) for him to finally agree to commit himself.

I’ve read through bunches of them, and found very few of the postings to reflect minor offenses.

Involuntary commitment is a very difficult, and generally unattainable undertaking unless the person is under arrest and considered a danger by the police, who can then start the proceedings.

The process is discussed in a rather straight forward manner in this article:
http://psychrights.org/states/Maine/InvoluntaryCommitmentbyAliciaCurtis.htm

From the article:
“A patient who hears voices constantly, who exists in a state of fear about people she believes are trying to kill her, who does not take any medicines because she believes they are poisoned, and who is too distracted by her illness to cook meals or take showers, could probably not be committed to a hospital involuntarily. “

Sadly this behavior is not exclusive to Hollywood. Just do sex offender look-up in your zip code, and be ready to be shocked:
http://www.nsopw.gov/

When I lived in a nice gated suburban neighborhood in a nice Conservative State I did a sex offender look-up for my zip code and found that there were 150, including 3 in my nice gated suburban neighborhood.

I now live in a more urban setting and just did a zip code look-up and found that there are 105 sex offenders living in my zip code.

re: Lindsay & The Amazing Technicolor Dream Nipple (6 comments)

It’s amazing that most of the London critics were exceptionally kind to Lohan. How things have changed:
I worked for the production office that provided Marlo Thomas her first Broadway role. On opening night her voice cracked while she spoke her first lines. She was fine after that initial case of nerves. The New York Critics shredded her as amateur, and incompetent.

One Daily Mail critic seems to have a better perspective on Lohan’s performance (but is till kind to her):

“Lindsay Lohan’s acting is like that of a not specially gifted schoolgirl… the director should be ashamed for even putting on this travesty of art’
