There are also many, many people associated with Jackass productions, including public relations people, who could’ve put something together to serve as a PSA to their fans who are probably blowing up the MTV website and other forums discussing this topic. Once again, the cast and crew of Jackass continue to use poor judgement.
And in a few days this will be old news.
I’m having a hard time feeling sorry for Dunn’s passenger. He knowingly got into a car with a drunk driver, who happens to drive a Porsche (and I’m willing to bet money it wasn’t the first time they topped speeds of over 100mph), who also happens to be famous for doing stupid shit. If you go out with a dumbass who is doing shots and getting wasted and you don’t make the wise decision to be the designated driver, then you may as well have been behind the wheel as far as I’m concerned. They’re both guilty.
I was thinking the same thing! LOL
Amen, SF writer! Too bad the morons at Jackass don’t take this opporunity to educate their fans about the dangers of drunk driving and have something POSITIVE come out of this tragedy (that thankfully spared the lives of innocent people). Instead, they continue to turn a blind eye to the fact that their actions make a huge impression on the kids who literally pay their bills by going to see their stupid movies and buy their crap. Yes, it IS the same as running down the street with a loaded gun and we are all free to express our opinion on the matter. How does Bam know that Ebert didn’t lose a family member or close friend to the hands of a drunk driver???
