The Simpsons movie teaser trailer
This probably would have made more sense a decade ago. Although they are releasing it on 7/7/07 so that's pretty cool. Maybe they can schedule it so that the first showing is at 7:77 PM. I find watching movies at made-up times just makes them better.
NOTE: I've chosen to ignore the 2 on the 27. When you're as psychotically good looking as I am, that's a right you've earned.

I'm sure the video says 27/7/07. That means we can actually watch it at 27:07:07.

Umm I guess the editor is slightly deaf... "Opening July 27th, 2007". Then again, this early in the morning I can't blame ya.

hmmmm. Does anyone else agree that the Simpsons aren't as good as they used to be? I'd rather watch Family Guy.

Is there no end to the menacing cogwheel of drivel that is The Simpsons? The show is like Madonna. It's waaaaay overstayed its welcome. It can only beg for mercy in the shadow of the far superior animated comedies Family Guy and South Park. Boycott this shite!

The Simpsons stopped being funny right after season four or five... This movie will stink even worse than Jeff Dahmer's fridge.

Dangit! I wanted to be #7!!

Glad I'm #8.
The Simpsons were funny years ago. Years ago.

Ooops #9. No rules to being #9.

Does anyone even watch The Simpsons anymore? Its been lame for a while now, just a cash cow for the network. Back in the day it was great though.

I officially hate all of you motherfuckers. I will never say a bad thing about the Simpsons. NEVER!

I'm with #12, especially after that episode where Marge got implants (mmm...titties). And she was reacing for a can of whatever and kept closing the cabinet doors with her boobs...PRICELESS!

Bart, remember that time when Santa's Little Helper ate my goldfish?
I was crying and you said I never had a goldfish!
Then why did I have the bowl Bart?
WHY DID I HAVE THE BOWL?
Save me Jebus!!!!!

Alcohol...the cause, and solution to, all of life's problems.
And when the doctor said I didn't have worms anymore was the best day of my life.

I'm with #12, I could never bash the Simpsons. Yeah the movie probably won't be the best thing I've ever seen but I will go see it for sure. It can still be pretty funny too and its been on for 17 fing years.

Johnny Tightlips where you shot..
I'm not saying anything...
Then what do I tell the doctor...
Tell him to suck a lemon.....
Fat Tony is my Idol !!!!

Meh.
I'm glad FG put Stewie: The Untold Story on immediate dvd. They knew I was too busy to drag my ass to theatres and not pay for overpriced popcorn.
They also managed to figure that it wouldn't be as great and hilarious compared to a single episode.

I still see some funny stuff on the Simpsons. Not as good as it was in the '90s, but still better than 95% of the sitcoms out there.
Family Guy wouldn't exist without the Simpsons.

The Simpsons is (was) the best show ever...it stopped being funny after season 7. It's definitely outstayed it's welcome and it makes me sad it went so downhill, and the movie will probably suck. Family Guy is definitely funnier these days. But I agree, Simpsons seasons 3-7 kick Family Guy's ass in every way.
25. Posted by Cheerios on April 4, 2006 11:50 AM
blah blah and without Flintstones there wouldn't be the Simpsons.
I can't when this gets into a heated FG vs Simpsons fued.
I predict like... 100+ responses.

I can't wait* when..
gah.
27. Posted by Maeve97 on April 4, 2006 11:52 AM
I like the Family Guy as well. I think it's acceptable to like both shows, in the way that some people like Johnny Carson and Dave Letterman.

Yeah, The Simpsons lives in Suck-Land now, but even at its worst, it's STILL better than any of the other True Crap on network TV. I'd rather watch a lame Simpsons any day than, say, that asinine new, night-time game show hosted by the germaphobic, now-bald and always-moronic Howie Mandel.
The only other thing worth watching is Family Guy, because Pe-tah is fucking INSANE! And Stewie's so cute... I'd hit that, dirty diaper and all.

Wow, I'm totally not going to see this. Simspsons is painfully embarassing/unfunny to watch. If the actors behind this show had any iota of self-respect, they would have thrown in the towel 12 years ago when this show lost any semblance of wit. I hope the movie tanks a la Basic Instinct 2.

#5, I tend to think the oppsite. Family Guy has been dumbed down so much, it's rarely funny anymore. It's a shame, really.

#30 I would much rather watch Homer bang his balls than Sharon Stone getting gang bangned any time. I will be the first person in line. GO Simpsons!!

Um, isn't July 2007 like, um, a really long time from now and everything?
Like, the whole planet could be completely destroyed by global warming.
Wait, that was a dam that broke from a burning boat we accidently set on fire, and then blamed on global warming. Wait, that was south park. Never mind.
37. Posted by hafaball on April 4, 2006 03:16 PM
The Family Guy movie sucked balls, I hope this one doesn't suck as much.
38. Posted by boredatwurk on April 4, 2006 04:00 PM
I have lost interest in the simpsons through the years, it isn't as funny.
However, the Halloween specials still kick ass.

The Simpsons are still incredibly popular here in Australia... I still love the show and family guy.
Now American Dad!
THAT sucks.
40. Posted by cibby on April 4, 2006 06:42 PM
I'm not sure why everything has to be turned into a movie... it's obviously a trend trying to capitalize on an established market.
Is the Simpsons still funny?

Next thing you know there'll be a big screen version of that hilarious show about that whore Russia, or Paris, or whatever, and her cooch. I bet the movie will be about this whore with a bad nose that rides every object that's pokey-shaped...
Oh wait....

All I have to say is:
make a movie = jump the shark
It happened to The Rugrats.

Family Guy is painful to watch. It's the same joke over and over and over again.
