Kid Rock sues to stop sex tape
Kid Rock has won an initial victory to stop his sex tape with Scott Stapp and four women from being released. The court order only applies to the preview clip and will remain in effect until a court hearing Friday to determine whether the actual tape will be stopped as well.
"We don't deny the authenticity of the tape," Kid Rock's lawyer, William Horton, told the Detroit Free Press. "But they're using this without his permission to drive the sales of their other products.""Even rock stars are entitled to privacy," said co-counsel Michael Novak. "These are public figures, and the standards are different."
In an affidavit filed with the lawsuit, Kid Rock, who was born Robert Ritchie, said the video was shot in 1999 near Miami. At the time, Stapp was the lead singer of Creed. Kid Rock said in the lawsuit filing that it was clearly understood that the video would remain Stapp's private property and would not be displayed publicly. Joseph has said previously that he got the tape from a third party. It involved women from a strip club and was taken in a motor home, he said.
I'm hoping the courts have the decency to halt the distribution of the tape. Not because I'm concerned for Kid Rock or Scott Stapp's privacy, but because I don't think my feeble little mind could take their two naked bodies gyrating around each other.

Ok, 'splain this to me like I'm a six-year-old. KR saw the person with the camera, and did not ask him to leave? Sorry, that's HIS tough shitty luck.

Well like usual stars in sex tapes are afraid people will see their 'weewee's'.

theres got to be a lot of greasy greasy hair on that tape.

Mmmmmmm, gettin' down with some fugly strippers in a beat up looking motorhome. Good to be king, eh, Scott?

Considering the fact that Mr. Stapp's career(whatever you'd want to call that), has been flush like a big turd, he probably released the tape himself. I guess to keep his new wife distracted from the fact she married an alcoholic no talent loser (K-Fed). I wonder how long it will take her to get an annulment... ;-O

Don't want your sexual activity being marketed to the public? Don't allow said activity to be taped. Have we not all learned that yet?
My God, celebrities are dumb.

Why do people let themselves be videotaped, then get mad when people wanna watch the tape?
8. Posted by LaydeeBug on February 22, 2006 03:52 PM
# 6 & 7, I will NEVER understand why.
It's like those perverts who make dates with underage kids on the internet and are, OOOPS, surprised that they made a date with a Federal Agent. Christ, people ARE stupid.

Oh and another thing, regarding the big-titties ho in the picture. She spent who-knows-how-much money on those tits and her aspiration is to be a freaking trailer hooker. At least have some class, marry an old man and get some money out of it.

LMAO Laydeebug! RIGHT ON! I mean if you're going to be a skank at least make it with a rich old man who's got one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel

Is this a sex tape or some newfangled method of appetite suppression?

I guess these stupid idiots have not learned from,
1. Pam and Tommy
2. Paris Hilton
Who would want to see either of these guys gettin it on with hookers? They are two of the grossest famous and semi-famous guys out there.

Not sure what you guys are talking about. If I were in a room with Kid Rock, 4 strippers and enough drugs to make Robert Downey Jr. blush, I'd probably tape it too.

So let me get this straight, Tom Cruise is suing Scott Stapp becuase he released Tom and Kid Rock's sex tape?
Sounds about right.

In response to #11 - LMAO at "I think that company hates people..."
I have a problem with this statement Kid Rock's counsel made, "These are public figures, and the standards are different."
Just what type of standards do you think rock musicians, rappers and the like have? It would be a whole different story if someone caught an upskirt shot of Mother Theresa. THEN counsel would be justified in making such a statement.
I think that is a piss poor response by counsel on the issue.

Christ, the whole thing was done in a "MOBILE HOME" not a synagogue.

Here, here ESQ. And to take your point one step further..."Even rock stars are entitled to privacy,". What a load of bullshit! If he was stupid enough to do the sex tape, then he lives with the consequences.

No #16... Tom is suing Kid Rock for not being included in the sex tape... and Paris from what I hear is also wanting in on some of the legal action, she's stating that all sexual activity taped in California (or anywhere for that matter) should have her included. She's suing for lost publicity, and her feelings are hurt that she couldn't spread her lovin (ie legs) for Stapp and Rock. I have to go Britney is making breakfast again... pancakes! Go figure!
Laydee, I replied :O)~

There is something on that tape he doesn't want us to see. Because (no offense to the men) but guys don't usually care who sees them doing what. They are usually proud of it and laugh about it later. UNLESS its something they are ashamed of. And that first clip had Rock enjoying some anal action so I'm thinkin he was getting banged up the ass by one of those chics screaming, "I wanna be a cowboy baby.."

Scott Stapp is friggin douche bag. I've always disliked his "holier than thou, but worship me like a whore, messiah" persona. When Creed and Fred Durst's shitty band were popular, I prayed for the day they would go down. Thanks Superficial and all of the cool people who crap on celebrities. All of those entertainment shows kiss the "stars" behinds. It's refreshing to gripe about lucky mofo's who don't deserve it.
30. Posted by briggette12 on February 23, 2006 01:37 AM
Yes he is stupid for even making the tape. Im sure there are a very large amount of people doing it. They do not have his permission to release that tape. You need releases for a lot of things. He does not want to give it. I wouldnt either. He also says that he made an agreement to the filming but he also made an agreement to never show it. And I'm sure that if this were any average person, it would require permission and it is only becuase of who he is that this is even an issue.

Poster # 15 Onrico said it right.
Not one other person has mentioned that when you live like Kid Rock, what did you expect? They knocked on the devil's door and someone answered. They shouldn't even be complaining.
Drugs, booze, hookers and a cam-corder?
No, it wasn't going to made public. No, not at all. LMAO!
32. Posted by pixie-stix on February 23, 2006 06:18 AM
What's one sure-fire way of getting a sh*tload of publicity? Have a sex tape 'discovered.' What an effing joke.

couldn't these successful young men at least sprung for a hotel room? god, even seeing the preview made me feel like that girl in the paris hilton panties photo. wretching on the floor asking why do i look at such things?
34. Posted by sjb16 on February 23, 2006 09:12 AM
This was taken 6 years ago while they were on tour together, so even if Scott's then wife then she sure as shit would want one now. I'm wondering how Stapp's wife is taking this new found piece of "art".

I knew I should have been a hooker when I grew up... that was an oportunity of a lifetime- lucky ugly hookers!

Wait a minute, on this tape, is it Kid Rock and Scott Stapp having sex with diffent women, or is it Kid Rock and Scott Stapp having sex WITH EACH OTHER? O_O
That would be unpleasent to see, also, im suing both for the fact that they are still making records.
