Lindsay Lohan denies Vanity Fair interview
Lindsay Lohan is denying claims made in her Vanity Fair interview about her problems with drugs and bulimia.
"The words that I gave to the writer for Vanity Fair were misused and misconstrued, and I'm appalled with the way it was done," Lohan, 19, wrote in an e-mail dated January 9.
"Aside from [the writer's] lies and changing of my words," Lohan said in the statement, "I am blessed to have this job and wonderful family that I do." Her publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, tells TEEN PEOPLE that Lohan does not have bulimia now, nor did she ever.
A rep for Vanity Fair tells TEEN PEOPLE, "Evgenia Peretz is one of our most reliable reporters. Every word Lindsay Lohan told her is on tape. Vanity Fair stands by the story."
I know reporters make up all sorts of crap to sell magazines, but I'm going to have to side against Lindsay Lohan on this one. It's not that she's a compulsive liar when it comes to her drug use and eating disorders, it's just that she's a totally compulsive liar when it comes to her drug use and eating disorders.

She must have been pretty baked again before she clicked the "Send Button" on that email.
Her publicist is probally the dealer and when they meet Lohan gets blasted. Leslie then starts hallucinogen theropy sessions to keep her job a float. In return sells the crap to Teen magazine.
It is funny how some celebrities are so stupid.

She's not bulimic ? Neggo-tory ? Well that just makes me want to throw up ! I'm back to reading Teen People !!

If this article was titled "Lindsay Lohan Denies Having any Talent" it would be more accurate. But your way to smart for that aren't you Lindsay? Now be a good starlet and fuck off.

I did not see this coming.
So, like, what are the chances she's telling the truth?
5. Posted by Layne on January 10, 2006 10:33 PM
Vanity Fair should release the audio on their website.
I'de listen.

Why deny your words when they are taped? Stupid stupid stupid!
7. Posted by Lynette Carrington on January 10, 2006 10:47 PM
Can anyone say "LAME DAMAGE CONTROL?"
8. Posted by Juliette on January 10, 2006 11:12 PM
I second Layne...they should definitely air the tape of her admitting to it. Serves the lil bitch right!

It's so funny how lindsay's bulimia is starting to show itself in her life in different ways, besides for the physical aspect....see, first she says she's bulimic, then she EATS her words, and now she's THROWING them back up. I wonder how many calories it is to eat a lie?

I think it's sad that she is willing to lie. Has VV ever been in touble for this in the pass? I don't read VV so I have no idea if they would pull something like this. Because if they did. Then someone has the right to sue them.

What I don't get is who even cares if she did drugs. Everybody does drugs at some point. And if she really truly has an eating disorder, then so be it. Get help. You shouldn't have to deny it.

Again...another publicity whore.
13. Posted by Sheva on January 11, 2006 12:51 AM
The only tape released should be the one where she services me the day after learning a new trick from Bruce Willis.
I'm not ready to release the tape.

Sheesh, it;s not like they added that she was in a 50 man gang bang, doing coke off a monkey's ass, it just said she had bulimia. That's really not that bad, compared to other things like, I don;t know, being with paris Hilton for one day. She could of been a role model for admitting her bulimia, now she's just lying...I think, maybe she isn't...I never thought of her not lying...hmm, interesting.

You would have thought w linds being such a publicity whore she would be happy that every gossip headline was about her...
She lied about being bulimic 6 months ago, she admited it, lied about it again...yeah we REALLY believe you
16. Posted by babyboo on January 11, 2006 03:56 AM
I feel bad for her, considering almost every famous person probably has a drug problem and an eating disorder. I don't get why this is such a big deal.
17. Posted by AD on January 11, 2006 04:07 AM
ohhh, she's so annoying. She never tells the truth about anything... :/
18. Posted by penngoldie on January 11, 2006 06:51 AM
Walks like a duck, talks like a duck, but its CLEARLY not actually a duck.
Before you know it she will claim that she never tans, she's naturally a fucked up shade of weirdo tan.

Someone shoul introduce her to Justin Berfield... same age, same IQ, same lame career. They should wed and move into Justins new home. MTV does not need to remove the cameras anymore: "Newlyweds 2: Lindsey and Justin".
20. Posted by Cheyenne_1 on January 11, 2006 08:54 AM
Makes me think of the old adage "Bad publicity is better than no publicity". Think about it, how many of you would be discussing Linsey Lohan right now if it weren't for this "revelation/denial" shit?
HollyJ nailed it: Lindsey's a publicity whore.
She has said she loves Angelina Jolie and it's pretty clear she's trying to channel her -- looks-wise, anyway (the poses she strikesnow, like in the photo above, are a funny attempt at mimicking AJ). It'll probably be a few years before she does vials of blood and lesbian affairs.

"Appalled" The publicity skank is "appalled"? I miss the days when talent got you places in Hollywood, as opposed to the present-day tactics useless coke whores pull to secure themselves a place in the headlines...
22. Posted by ShanDourdan on January 11, 2006 10:19 AM
Publicity whore?. That she certainly is. I wonder if we'll have Paris Hilton releasing a statement soon saying she hasn't made any sex tapes and that she's 'appalled' at accusation. Or maybe Katie Holmes will finally admit her baby isn't Tom's...Actually I'd believe that last one.
23. Posted by Some1Special on January 11, 2006 10:20 AM
Actually if they do have a tape of her saying that stuff, the reporter could sue LL for slander and teach that lying slut a lesson...
24. Posted by sammygirl on January 11, 2006 12:12 PM
There's no honesty in Hollywood (or D.C. for that matter). People lie all the time because they think the public can't handle the truth and therefore their livelihood will suffer because of it. But honestly, it would be a breath of fresh air to hear someone like LL say, "You know, I'm still very young and I've made my mistakes, like dabbling with drugs and wrestling with an eating disorder. I admit this and am working on improving my life." End of story. Nobody would've blamed her for having these problems, seeing that her dad is a complete deadbeat and her mom doesn't have a disciplinary bone in her body.
25. Posted by tuesdayup on January 11, 2006 12:22 PM
She was probably just too strung out on coke or too tired from throwing up to remember what she said...

Guess who's NEVER getting another Vanity Fair interview?
27. Posted by andrewthezeppo on January 11, 2006 01:42 PM
Well I think the story is all lies anyways. We know she didn't lose weight by making herself throw-up and we know she didn't "try" coke once or wtice.
Because she does coke like a fiend and that's why she lost the weight.
on a more serious note, there is a big difference between saying "I was making myself sick" which is the quote and saying "I was making myself throw-up" which would be an eating disorder
28. Posted by ~S.Starr~ on January 11, 2006 02:00 PM
VF would not have used the word BULIMIA unless Lindsay said it on tape. Yes...there is a big difference between saying I was making myself sick and saying I was making myself throw-up. But VF isn't a trash mag. They wouldn't have used the word unless she was quoted saying it.
29. Posted by ~S.Starr~ on January 11, 2006 02:04 PM
Besides...most of time it isn't even Lindsay...the publicist is usually the one that comes up with the comments released to the public. He calls lindsay and says "This is what you should say...and we HAVE to use the word "appalled" b/c it will make you sound serious."...and then Lindsay says "umm...okay...so you want me to say...etc"
30. Posted by sammygirl on January 11, 2006 02:53 PM
Very true, Vanity Fair isn't a rag magazine. The writers are pretty reputable. I think it's a low blow to attack the writer on this issue. She doesn't seem to care about the writer's reputation, so long as her own persona isn't scarred. Whatever, typical Hollywood diva.
Also, is anyone else confused by her comment describing her family as "wonderful"? Wasn't it her troubles with her father that lead her to drugs and bulemia in the first place??
31. Posted by BrendaPayne on January 11, 2006 03:11 PM
Just when we thought Lindsay was becoming sensible - gaining weight and 'fessing up to her issues - she goes and retracts that which made her a more likeable person in the first place. She'll probably start starving herself to 'get back' at the people who said she's starting to look healthy again. Now THAT will show us!
32. Posted by Pie Man on January 11, 2006 03:11 PM
Excuse me, Lindsay but everyone forgot about your problems already and here you are trying to get publicity again. I guess she figured she needed to try to steal the spotlight from Brangelina.
33. Posted by BrendaPayne on January 11, 2006 03:32 PM
Remember Pie Man, Brad didn't recognize her when she introduced herself to him. Maybe Lindsay figures if she is all over the press, Brad will fall in love with her and leave Angelina. Wow, she really IS on drugs, isn't she?
34. Posted by MP$40 on January 11, 2006 07:07 PM
You know what...I'm really tired of stars using eating disorders to cover up their coke habbits. It's old now! She really stuck her foot in her mouth when she said she "dabbled" in drugs. Now she's scrambling around trying to do damage control which isn't working. No one looses that kind of weight like she did by mearly throwing up. It's all about lines, drink, party, lines, drink, party, etc. and before you know it....it's 4 days later and you really haven't eaten.
At least Kate Moss did the noble thing and fessed up. Why do you think she's so skinny? come on people. Everyone in Hollywood does blow....when they get caught first thing they gotta do is immediately check themselves into rehab. They have no choice. Look at Dan O'Brien. Lindsey never got caught but I'm guessing in the interview she would make herself look cool...then after she made the comment she probably was like oh s*&%! Then followed it up with "I was making myself sick". Yeah....doing lines, drinking and partying will make you sick alright. Don't try to pass it off as an eating disorder (which is like the new cool thing to have in Hollywood).
35. Posted by Pearly on January 11, 2006 08:04 PM
I have to agree with MP$40 on this. Since when is an eating disorder better than a coke problem? These people are crazy. I'm betting that all these "pin thin" anorectics are meth heads or coke smokers. Nicole Richie being the queen and Hilary Duff and Lindsay her handmaidens chopping lines while she buys more clothes.....
36. Posted by slinkhard on January 12, 2006 05:25 AM
'At least Kate Moss did the noble thing and fessed up.'
No, she didn't. She got caught.
37. Posted by MP$40 on January 12, 2006 06:27 PM
You are exactly correct. I don't even know why I wrote that...my bad. Yeah and how she got caught was so shady.....folks snappin pics of her with their camera phone. Wow....messed up!
38. Posted by beachgirl53 on January 13, 2006 04:19 AM
Dude. She's right to deny that she had bulimia. She doesn't; she has good old fashioned Kate Moss/Nicole Richie/Mary-Kate Olsenitis...a serious fetish for coke.
39. Posted by hotelcalifornia on May 9, 2006 02:49 AM
I wish snorting coke like a fiend made me skinny..it didn't..I lost like tops 5 lbs and put 10 more on after getting clean, it fucks up your metabolism...I had a friend who put on 20lbs in a year after getting off the stuff. So in the end kids, unless you plan on being an addict all your life, Coke makes you fat! Fake ADD and get some speed instead.
