Pretty scary that that can happen to someone so young so suddenly...

After reading #7, I actually went back and looked at the last few pages of this site. I saw that the majority of the celebrities that were being made fun of were *gasp* caucasian. From calling Tara Reid a murder for no reason, or saying that Teri Hatcher had sex in a van with her 7 year old daughter driving, all celebrities regardless of race are open season. Foxy Brown's a crackhead? A def jam joke? How dare somebody say that! Did you ever read what they say about BritBrit or K-Fed? You're in for a shocker. I don't care enough to look up who smokes the most crack, but I do care enough to find out if Foxy Brown actually was a drug addict. As it turns out (according to rumour, natch) that yes, in fact she is/was. It isn't crack, but it is painkillers. So there you go, there is some basis to it.

I think it's in pretty bad taste to make crude jokes about someone who is going through such an incredibly traumatic experience. Imagine not being able to hear for a second, especially if you're a musician. Actually, what I read of demerara's posts said speacifically that not everything was abiout color -- that was his/her point... that there is humor but yanking the stereoype of "black = crack user" isn't funny.

Foxy wasn't/isn't addicted to crack -- it was/is pain killers -- so there wasn't basis in fact.

SOmeone else objected to automatically associating Britney & K-Fed with white trash, so I guess some stereotype-based jokes just aren't as universally appealing as other jokes.

I was the one who said the point about BritBrit and K-Fed being white trash. Actually for the record I didn't actually use the phrase "white trash" so don't call me a racist over that. I know BritBrit and K-Fed are a gross couple, I was using them to prove that they said worse things about them on this site, some if it completely baseless (did she ever throw Spaghetti O's?) I also pointed out multiple other celebrities that really didn't deserve what was written about them. Don't get me wrong, I love this site and find it really funny. Teasing celebrities is fun. More people should do it.

Foxy was a drug user, it was just a matter of which drug she was addicted to. If that's all you can complain about and call people a racist over, you are just looking for something to be upset about. There is real racism, hate, and ugliness in the world. The auther called someone a crack user when she was really a painkiller user.
