Celebrities are demanding

The NY Daily News has a collection of demands that some of the celebrities made during the MTV Video Music Awards last weekend, though none of them were especially surprising or entertaining. Some of the better ones include:

• 50 Cent asked for condoms, including two boxes of Lifestyles and Rough Riders. He also asked for bottles of Cristal, as well as chicken from KFC and Boston Market.

• Green Day asked for a fifth of silver tequila, a fifth of whisky (Jameson or Bushmill's), a fifth of vodka (Grey Goose, Vox or Belvedere) and four bottles of wine.

• Coldplay asked for vodka and wine, plus no fewer than 48 bottles of lager - specifically demanding that no American beers be included. They also wanted organic soup and free-range chicken on the table, as well as three packs of Marlboro Lights.

• Shakira asked for "relaxed" lighting, drapes over ugly walls and high-quality flowers everywhere.

What happened to the good ol' days when celebrities would make crazy demands like "a bowl of red M&M's with the '&' scratched off and replaced with a tiny drawing of a dog." I miss those days. They were awesome.
