The National Enquirer and Star are reporting that Anna Nicole Smith died of a lethal level of a potent sleep medication, although she also had a blood infection that would’ve killed her had the sleep aid not. She took the sleep-inducer chloral hydrate (used in date rape drugs) on Feb 7 and then never woke up.
The official results were supposed to be announced Monday by the Broward County Medical Examiner but the National Enquirer and Star broke the story. They’re usually a little off with their reporting but this just sounds right. Although any explanation involving the word “overdose” probably would’ve sounded right. They could’ve said she overdosed on horse manure and I would just nod my head in silent knowing.
NOTE: Not really related, but two handwritten private diaries written by Anna Nicole between 1992 and 1994 were bought off eBay for $512,500 by a businessman from Germany.

Chloral Hydrate is a very safe medication, given correctly. It is given to newborns so that tests like cardiac ultrasounds can be performed accurately and it wears off pretty fast. Baby sleeps lightly for an hour, rest of day is a little quieter than usual.
In addition, the report says THERE WERE NO OTHER DRUGS in her system (I was very surprised at that, but there you are) so she would have had to had a huge amount to kill her, even with an infection.
Since she wasn’t (currently) using any other drugs, suspicion falls (in my mind) that Howard gave her the drug.
One thing Chloral Hydrate would do would be to cloud one’s judgement so that one would say “no, I don’t want to go to the hospital.” (As in maybe later when I wake up)—-
I say Howard Stern killed her, thinking he had all his ducks in a row.

I never loved Anna more than on her reality tv show, I was amazed how fucked up she got, but its not funny. I was heartbroken when Daniel died the way he did. She was a joke until then. She became a real person who lost her child. I would have killed myself if my child died before my eyes. Even if not before my eyes, I’d be out the nearest window in a flash.

According to the publications, the blood infection was caused by an unsterilized needle used just three days before her death to inject an unknown substance in her left buttock. As she flew from Bahamas to Florida, Smith developed a painful abscess and fever.
Sources told the Star/National Enquirer team that upon arriving at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the former Playboy Playmate had a fever of 105. She allegedly developed a second infection from a virulent form of norovirus, which causes intestinal problems.
But, the publications report, instead of taking Smith to a hospital, her entourage gave her an ice bath to bring down her fever and allegedly administered the antibiotic ciprofloxacin and an over-the-counter flu medicine.
The report claims Smith began vomiting and suffered severe diarrhea and dehydration.

That pill is so potent, it is like never prescribed. That is an OLD SKOOL sleeping pill. In fact, the Pharmacist at my job said he thinks the Doc prescribing her all the bullshit should lose their license. Mostly because they went overboard and gave her whatever she wanted.
