Angelina Jolie was on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart yesterday and when asked how many children she’d like to have she responded:
“It fluctuates between seven and 13 or 14.”
She was also asked about the Fox News story claiming she had asked the press to sign a contract before interviewing her, and she said it was put together by her lawyer and she had no idea it was going out.
“There was a memo that went out to ask people if they would sign it that said, ‘Don’t get into personal questions, focus on the movie,’ and things like that,” Jolie explained. “It was from my representative trying to be protective of me, but it was excessive and I wouldn’t have put it out there.”
And then when she was asked about renaming her 3-year-old adopted son, Pax Thien, she said it was because her mother suggested the name before her death from ovarian cancer.
“My mom wrote a list of names when we were going to have Shiloh. One of the names that she suggested was Pax because it meant peace. [But] he’s anything but at the moment.”
So pretty much every problem I had with Angelina Jolie isn’t even a problem anymore. How is it possible she can be so perfect? I guess I can take some satisfaction in knowing that she’s dating Wyatt Earp. Seriously, what the hell is Brad Pitt wearing? I understand getting dressed up for a premiere, but he looks like he should be slapping people in the face with a white glove or performing magic.

thank you for so eloquently expressing the thoughts and feeling that were in my head. there is a falsity at the very core of angelina jolie and her ilk that needs to be revealed, if only because she is held up as such a virtuous role model of all that is good in humanity. (long live saint angelina)….her worship and the defence of her hypocrisy by the likes of jungle red makes me really mad.. it speaks of the enormous empathy gap that exists in the america and much of the world (developed and undeveloped). this

#88. My last point is why can’t the wealthy live a modest life and give the rest away? Who would that hurt? How would that be a problem? They would not turn the economy upside down they could still by 10,000 pairs of shoes they would just have to give 9995 of them to others instead of keeping them all for themselves. They could still buy a mansion or three but they would have to live in a normal sized house and turn the mansions into a centre for kids with cancer or for at risk youth or a shelter for abused women. With all the suffering, the encyclopedia of under funded charities and social problems it is unacceptable to live a greedy life. Why would a family need a mansion when they could have a nice comfortable single family home? Why should anyone have the right to live in excess when others live in deprivation? Wealth is NOT an entitlement in this unfair world where many of the most hardworking people struggle to put food on the table. Geniuses with PhD’s have to drive cab’s or clean toilets and work crazy hours to support their family because they had to escape a dangerous war torn country and try to make a better and safer life for their loved ones in a new country where they were not likely welcomed with open arms ( a challenge most born in the developed world cannot even imagine). Yet with all that being said Angelina Jolie still deserves $20 million for what she admits is a DREAMJOB? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Nothing is stopping the wealthy from taking a smaller piece of the pie for themselves since there is only so much pie to go around. I also believe that as much as it is hard emotionally to be impoverished it is mentally and emotionally unhealthy to have more money than God and to live like a king/queen while the peasants starve. People need limitations and it’s no wonder these greedy kids in a candy store (wealthy celebs) end up so crazy living their boundary-less lives.
I earnestly believe that there is enough to go around for everyone to live comfortably but, if many chose to live in mansions than many will continue to live on the street. Have you seen the disproportion of wealth in Hollywood and LA (the hills filled with giant mansions and then prostitutes, drug dealers and the homeless surrounded by some of the poorest neighborhoods and most awful conditions below those gods up on “Mount Olympus”. I do sleep better at night in our modest apartment than I ever could in a luxurious unnecessary castle.
Certainly the world’s problem of poverty could not be resolved overnight but whatever is being done NOW is simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH because there is still SO MUCH SUFFERING. No one is superior and you and I do not deserve wealth and gluttony while others deserve to die of starvation. If we could truly conquer our greed this world would be such a different place. We all deserve to enjoy life, and deep down our conscience knows the difference between enjoying life and selfish, thoughtless and inexcusable GREED.

Those who are TRULY committed at ALL the various levels of international development (my mother also worked with huge worldwide organizations and was very well respected in her field) are completely uninterested in recognition. Angelina can have the spotlight and all the praise and attention, the true heroes (have no idea they are heroes) and are far too humble and far too concerned with the actual cause to be bothered with ego and social standing. Some live their entire lives having never spoken of their good deeds. What bothers many is not the attention itself that Angelina gets (those with real confidence don’t crave attention) but that Angelina and others like her send the wrong messages and actually corrupt the very concept of humanitarianism.

“…woship and defense of AJ…” by the likes of me? Where did you get all that, Sparky? If you read my post, I specifically said I find her neither particulary threatening nor exemplary. So what’s the problem? That I’m not foaming at the mouth denouncing everyone else as hypoctitical and phony?
Do we live in a world of gross inequalities in the distribution of wealth? Yeah, I think I might have read that in the Journal of “Duh.” But is forced redistribution the answer? Doubtful. It does not follow that eliminating the superwealthy will necessarily cure poverty in the world. There are other reasons for the existence of the impoverished and disenfranchised.
Personally, I agree the superwealthy control too many resources. They also contribute disproportionately more to charity. Want to change things? Then go out, vote, recruit voters, campaign for tax reform, corporate reform, start a blog that promotes reasonable solutions. Chastising and derading the people that benefit from the current system serves no purpose except to make you look like a couple of dope-smoking college kids who took their first class on Marxism and now think they have all the answers to running the world. Consider taking it down a notch and trying to look at things with a little depth and perspective.
Or you could continue to mutually masturbate each other and marinade in your own righteous indignation. Either way, it doesnt’ make much difference to me. Or, I suspect to Ms. Jolie.

I have not taking any courses on Marxism or Socialism, my beliefs came from my experiences and living all over Africa, Europe and North America. Certainly there are many reasons for poverty and the greed of the wealthy is one BIG reason. Here is an example of solutions I believe in. If Mr. Trump took a significant paycut he could create many more jobs within his company. Our world is a disorganized mess and every company I have ever worked in and been farmiliar with is understaffed and much of the existing staff are undertrained and overworked and thus constant problems in every sector of buisness and government arise because “no one took care of it”. Can the world magically change overnight no, but I can guarantee that one of the main underlying causes of ALL the problems in the world is greed. Again I would not encourage the enforcement of any of this. But I would write about myviews (fairly differently than I would debate them for fun here on some celb slamming blog) and hope that people will look at their lives and want to change for the greater good and for their own good. Of course the wealthy contribute more finance to charity (that’s not really a positive the simply have more to give and don’t live on a tight budget). Do they contribute more more time? That is debatable. Also some charity party where the press asks you who you’re wearing is not really charity work.
You do not know my age or my background (except for basic details) or what I have done and like you I do not want to share those details. I CAN guarantee I practice what I preach. I also feel no animosity towards you and actually enjoyed debating with you.
I do come on the superfish and mock celebrities, I find it funny and I think people need to learn to just laugh it up sometimes. The last part of what you wrote about postive solutions and voting is actually exactly what I believe in and exactly how I fight for the causes I care about(among other ways). Again no good will come form enforcement, our society has tried things that way and look how much good that has done. I rant here, It’s like punching a puching bag. It’s for enjoyment and to air out my thoughts which I don’t censor here.
Lastly I have never smoked anything. I really enjoy my brain and don’t enjoy getting stupid and can actually have fun without paying for a substance that will pay be back with vomit and memory loss among other things. I love seeing self righteous pot heads rant against the MAN and institutions when they are in the exact boat, being dependant on drugs their MAN is some drug dealer who doesn’t give a shit about them either. Most people can’t think for themselves I do not subscribe to any kind of thinking (except my own) and the only thing I depend on (in a healthy way) is the love of my family.
