Following the arrest of three of Angelina Jolie’s bodyguards after they allegedly roughed up parents and students at a school in India, Angelina issued a statement, saying:
“It is not surprising that the press involved failed to mention their share of the responsibility in the chaos. As for this horrible rumor that someone referred to a local man as a ‘bloody Indian,’ let me say this: I would never work with anyone that was derogatory towards another man’s race. My family is of mixed race.”
It doesn’t matter what the press was doing because they weren’t the ones pushing around children. You could throw a hundred photographers in my face and there’d never be a moment where I’d think to myself: “I really feel the need to beat up some kids and their parents.” I mean I might do it anyway, but I wouldn’t think about it. How else am I supposed to get their candy?

Pitt just gave his first interview since entering the country to India-based NDTV. He claims he was not in Bombay at the time of the incident but he’s completely convinced nobody from the unit would use slurs like “Bloody Indian” or “Bloody Muslims” (yes, they’ve been accused of that too.)
The unit had permission to film at the school but the students were inconvenienced coz the school buses could not enter the school premises in the morning and the unit showed up an hour late in the afternoon which coincided with the time the kids were leaving so there was a Grand Orgy involving school kids, Jolie’s crew (some of whom were dressed in uniform and carrying fake firearms… hehehe!), incompetent school authorities, abusive bodyguards, America-hating muslim parents and heat-deranged paprazzi. The bodyguards had to cool their heels at the police station for 5 hours and will have to visit there everyday for the next seven days! Bwahahaha! If there’s anyone who’s had it coming, it’s them! The paprazzi always have it coming so they don’t really count.

Umm, I am a bloody India, so thought would chip in with some stuff.
The school is located in Mumbai (Bombay) It is a Muslim school, run by some Muslim organisation and most kids are Muslims.
Bombay is the city thats always in a rush. You have a film shoot in a Bombay school, and parents come to pick up their kids, and you tell them they can’t because theres a film shoot going on, you are lucky if they don’t break the school into pieces and throw it into the sea. Nobody waits, nobody tells anyone to wait here. They have to pick up kids and catch trains and buy vegetables and there is just no time, it is like asking to go kill themselves. You NEVER do that in Bombay.
Now whose mistake is that? The school’s. They were stupid to even allow this shoot there.
Now, about the specific abuse – bloody Indians. In India, we use the epithet bloody regularly, even those who don’t speak English use it. So it is quite likely that the parents made it up, very easy in a crowd scene. Like someone says, that bodyguard said bloody Indian – and others would be like yeah? we shall teach him a lesson. This does not mean that the bodyguards did not abuse the parents or Indians. But the more complicated abuses would go above their heads, and they would translate them all as “bloody”. Just clarifying there.
Now, the next stupidity. In India, Pakistan is the enemy, and Muslims in India are often accused of being Pak sympathisers. They dont like the accusation, and are very sensitive about it. Now, a parent comes to a school and what does he see? Actors dressed as Pakistani cops walking around, in a Muslim school. They would already be on edge thinking, is the school stupid, why do you give the Hindus one more reason to think that we have something to do with Pakistan? Lets get the hell out of here with our kids – and then they would be told they can’t go in.
Overall, very stupid of the school. Parents – thats how they react in Bombay. Don’t mess with their train schedules. Bodyguards, they get scared seeing a Bombay crowd with breards and ckullcaps – they are not used to such strong visuals and they overreact.
