Alec Baldwin leaves angry messages

April 20th, 2007 // 247 Comments

If you haven’t already heard it, this is the message Alec Baldwin left on his 11-year-old daughter’s voice mail. I don’t get what everybody’s making such a big deal over. This sounds like a pretty normal father daughter conversation. Although I am surprised he lets her out of the cage long enough to use a phone.

UPDATE: In the shocker of all shockers, Alec Baldwin has apologized for the message on his official site. Although it’s less of an apology and more of an self-justification. He writes:

“Thank you to everyone who has posted messages of suppport and understanding. Naturally, it is not best for a parent to lose their temper with their child. Everyone who knows me privately knows that I have endured a great deal over the last several years in my custody litigation.

Everyone who knows me privately knows that certain people will go to any lengths to embarass me and to disrupt my relationship with my daughter. In such public cases, your opponents attempt to take a picture of you on your worst day and insist that this is who you are as a person.

Outside the doors of divorce court, I have friends, I have respect from people I work with and I have a normal relationship with my daughter. All of that is threatened whenever one enters a court room.

Although I have been told by numerous people not to worry too much, as all parents lose their patience with their kids, I am most saddened that this was released to the media because of what it does to a child.

I’m sorry, as everyone who knows me is aware, for losing my temper with my child. I have been driven to the edge by parental alienation for many years now. You have to go through this to understand. ( Although I hope you never do.)

I am sorry for what happened. But I am equally sorry that a court order was violated, which had deliberately been put under seal in this case. Once my book is published, I’m sure more people will understand the incredible strains created by parental alienation.

In the meantime, I’m sorry to anyone who’s taken offense from this episode.”

  1. FRIST!!!

#98 WTC was THAT all about???!!??

  2. Jimbo

@98 Thanks for that. That was great.

See all of you assholes and pussies next week.

  3. FRIST!!!

You takin off Jimbo? Great, now I’m all alone. West Coast sucks :(

  4. StudsyMcSex

Jesus Christ, I can’t believe Alec left a rant like that on fucking tape; you have to wonder what sort of rant he would consider too abusive for an eleven year old to hear. He makes the Great Santini look like a total, utter pussy. And Kim is an equally shit parent for making sure this crap made it to the media.
I work sometimes as a court ordered non-custodial parent visit supervisor, and if I had a case like this, I’d be recommending that neither of those frigging manipulative tools were allowed near that kid.

And yes, she is probably fat.

  5. whitegold

I think it’s awesome that someone who calls themselves “StudsyMcSex” works occassionally as a “court ordered non-custodial parent visit supervisor”. I dunno, something about having Studsy McSex come to pay you a visit to review your parenting, just seems funny to me. Good choice of name haha!

  6. Only thing missing was him saying “Here’s Johnny” and telling the kid they were gonna stay at the Overlook Hotel for the weekend.
Jesus, get that man away from sharp objects!

  7. iamsosmrt

Okay he’s an asshole and there is no need to talk like that especially when you’re the fat pig. Who knows what his daughter is like. Don’t assume that being a CHILD automatically makes you an ANGEL.

Funny if this guy was my Dad he would have a heart attack and be dead by now. Luckily I grew up to be one of the few kids who isn’t scared of my parents. I love grown people who are still scared shitless of Mommy and Daddy.

Obviously she’s only 11 years old but the sad thing is many GROWN ADULTS still let their parents talk to them like this. The healthiest thing anyone can ever learn to do is to be able to tell your parents TO FUCK THE HELL OFF, it’s the and the right of passage into adulthood. I actually get along well with my units NOW. But if they ever spoke to me like that I’d throw bricks like Mcauley culkin.

So she’ll either learn to put Daddy in his place when it’s retirement home choosing time or she’ll be scared of him for life.

With a druken violent alchoholic father and a Mom who decided she didn’t feel like being a Mom anymore, when I was still in junior highschool, I learned to demand respect.

Try it people if you are a grown Man or Woman who is still intimidated by your parents call them up and list ALL their failures to them then tell them to FUCK THE HELL OFF and end it with I’m young I’m smarter and better than you will ever be, you’re old and your time is done I win you lose oh and I love you.

Then you will actually be able to be friends with them and never have to listen to their shit again.

  8. Conky

Kim Basinger is one crazy-mean vindicitive cunt to release stuff like this to the media given how it might damage Baldwin’s reputation.

    Ah, the joy of ex’s.

  9. Conky

    vindictive even, lol

  10. @107 thats great advice tell that the 11 year old

  11. heyheyhey

haha I didn’t think very much of this voicemail until he said “i don’t give a damn if you’re 12, or 11 years old”…then I realized this message is a bit age inappropriate

btw, today is Friday, the 20th. Ireland’s bout to get an ass whoopin!! Clear space for the next post about Alec getting arrested for child abuse

  12. wedgeone

Alec is pissed because his little bovine is giving it up to Kim’s boyfriend, and Alec is very bad at sharing. At some point a judge will have to hammer out a legal agreement to share the assets (boyfriend gets oral on Tuesdays, Alec gets anal on Fridays, that sort of thing). Happens all the time. For once Kim will be content to sit in a corner and munch on Xanax – she’s an anxiety disorder patient who hates sex. (If schack were here, s/he could tell us why there’s no such thing as a psychiatric disorder…HEY SCHACK! WE KNOW YOU’VE BEEN LURKING ALL DAY! STOP HIDING! You owe Jimbo some dirty blogging.)

  13. dorighta

Kim isn’t protecting her daughter from anything, letting this recorded private message in the public domain exposes her as manipulative to try and destroy Alec’s relationship with his daughter. It’s disgusting. I can only imagine how angry I’d feel if someone interfered in my relationship with my kids. And if the kids started adopting the custodial parents negative game playing, too, would sicken me. I can hardly blame him for what he said.

  14. iamsosmrt

#110 did you even read my ENTIRE post, because you’re comment proves that you didn’t read it all or you didn’t understand it.

  15. iamsosmrt

    1. Alec BaldOne is an ass pig, yeah he shouldn’t have said those things.
2.Find me one parent who hasn’t snapped and said something they regret.
    3. Having an asshole parent will show what a kid is made of, she’ll either grow up to be; a sissy, a horrible bitch like Mom or Mom or a tough woman who doesn’t stand for shit.
    4. This stuff does not surprise me, I have seen way worse. The fact is 99% of people are complete idiots so most people suck at being parents. The world is a shit hole, welcome to reality.

  16. iamsosmrt

haha Freudian slip in point 3. I said *Mom twice when I meant *Dad. Bah same shit, same pile.

  17. sideboob

Pig daughter looks just like Kim, that’s why Alec is so harsh. Divorce would be boring without kids to traumatize with displaced rage. At least he didn’t say he was flying out to see if she was “clean all over”…

  18. yeahok1234

    “and ofcourse…the Great..Alec Baldwin…”

    The Delicious Dish

    Margaret Jo McCullen…..Ana Gasteyer
    Teri Rialto…..Molly Shannon
    Pete Schweddy…..Alec Baldwin

Margaret Jo McCullen: Hello. I’m Margaret Jo McCullen.

Teri Rialto: And I’m Teri Rialto.

Margaret Jo McCullen: And you’re listening to..

Together: The Delicious Dish, on National Public Radio.

Margeret Jo McCullen: Now, Teri, it’s Christmas season again, our favorite time of the year.

Teri Rialto: Actually, Margaret Jo, holiday time is when the most culinary wishes can come true. Now, what’s on your list this holiday season, Margaret Jo?

Margeret Jo McCullen: Well, Teri, I got real freaky this year. I’m asking Kris Kringle for a wooden bowl, some oversized index cards, and a funnel.

Teri Rialto: Ooooh, a funnel! That’ll be great for funneling!

Margeret Jo McCullen: I know. I feel like a glutton! What’s onyour list, Teri?

Teri Rialto: Well, I’m only asking Santa for one thing – a big box of glue traps to help me with my excessive rat problem? Are you, Margaret Jo, gonna leave any treats out for Santa this year?

Margeret Jo McCullen: Oh, absolutely, I always do! I like to leave Santa some tap water and rice. If Santa’s anything like me, Christmas foods really reek havoc on the ol’ digestive system. What are you going to leave, Teri?

Teri Rialto: Uh, I can’t ever leave food out in my apartment, because I have an excessive rat problem.

Margeret Jo McCullen: Makes sense. Neat.

    Teri Rialto: Good times.

    Margeret Jo McCullen: Good times.

Teri Rialto: Well, Christmas is a time for traditional foods and bite-size treats, and we have a very special guest today.

Margeret Jo McCullen: That’s right, Teri. He’s the owner of his own holiday bakery, with a very, very cleaver name – Season’s Eatings.

Teri Rialto: [ laughs ] That’s really funny!

Margeret Jo McCullen: I know, it rhymes with Season’s Greetings!

Teri Rialto: Please welcome the owner of Season’s Eatings – Pete Schweddy.

[ Pete pulls up to his mike ]

Margeret Jo McCullen: Well, Pete, Teri and I have been looking forward to having you on the show, ’cause we know you’re the master of all kinds of Christmas goodies. Tell us about them.

Pete Schweddy: Well, there are lots of great treats this time of year – Zucchini Bread, Fruitcake.. but the thing that I most like to bring out this time of year are my Balls.

Teri Rialto: Mmm.. Balls.. Tell us about your Balls, Pete.

Pete Schweddy: Well, over at Season’s Eatings, we have Balls for every taste. Popcorn Balls, Cheese Balls, Rum Balls.. you name it.

Margeret Jo McCullen: Wow! My mouth’s watering just thinking about those Balls!

Teri Rialto: It’s been years since I’ve seen any Balls.

Pete Schweddy: Would you like to see my Balls now?

Margeret Jo McCullen: Yeah. Whip them out.

[ Pete places a tray of Balls on the control board ]

Teri Rialto: Mmm.. wow.. you have some beautiful Balls..

Margeret Jo McCullen: They’re bigger than I expected.

Pete Schweddy: A lot of people tell me that.

Margeret Jo McCullen: Look at that, Teri – the way they glisten.

Pete Schweddy: That’s because make sure that each one of my Balls gets plenty of oil.

Margeret Jo McCullen: I can’t help but, notice, Pete – your Balls are a little misshapen.

Pete Schweddy: That’s because I rested them on a hot stove too long.

Teri Rialto: Can I touch your Balls.

Pete Schweddy: Go ahead. But be careful, they’re very delicate.

Margeret Jo McCullen: Wow. I can’t wait to get my mouth around his Balls.

Teri Rialto: [ sniffing ] Ooh.. I like the way your Balls smell..

Pete Schweddy: Do whatever you want to, ladies. My Balls are here for your pleasure.

Margeret Jo McCullen: [ chewing ] Wow, Pete.. I have to say – your Balls are so tender..

Pete Schweddy: Well, there’s no beating my Balls. They’re made from a secret Schweddy Family recipe. No one can resist my Schweddy Balls.

Margeret Jo McCullen: Wow.. Schweddy Balls. Nothing like a Schweddy Ball.

    Teri Rialto: Good Balls.

Margeret Jo McCullen: Mmm.. good times.

Teri Rialto: Good times.. Mmm.. our producer is telling us it’s time to wrap it up.

Margeret Jo McCullen: That’s all the time we have today, Teri. So, join us next week, when our topic will be that other holiday favorite..

Margaret Jo & Teri – ..Fragrant, Flavored Nuts.

Pete Schweddy: A quick plug! If you order from Season’s Eatings now, you can still send out a special Schweddy Ball Sack in time.

Margeret Jo McCullen: Great idea. My niece would love a Sack of Schweddy Balls…

    [ fade out ]

  20. StudsyMcSex

@105, whitegold: I can’t help that God made me the extraordinarily sexy, heavily muscled visit supervisor that I am with a 14 inch thick as a beercan penis, mountains of cash that I sleep on and millions more dollars in the bank. And if looking once into my sensitive, soulful hazel eyes makes women melt into puddles and slide off their seats, orgasming on their desk chairs and then the floor at the very sight of me, then tell me, where is the harm? WHERE IS THE HARM????????

Good day to you, you sarcastic, heartless, acidulous degenerate.

  21. gabbie

    That is a disgrace.

  22. polypam

I don’t know what’s worse…the message itself or the fact that Kim leaked it to the press (on the exact day that he said he was going to come to LA and straighten out his daugther). Kim and Alec are both lunatic freaks, they’re made for each other so in that respect, I’m surprised they aren’t still married.

  23. @116 #2 here i got you 2 of them.
An asshole parent will show what a kid is made of what the hell? Are you comparing child care with a militaire academy?? A child still has to learn and they will do that mostly through their parents, If she’s gonna get yelled at and abused (which isn’t the case here probably) she learns that that’s a way to get your goal in life and she will do that to her own kids.

And yes i read your whole post, both of them and i do understand.

  24. FRIST!!!

    #121 Wow, beercan penis…..can I see???

  25. woodhorse

Parents are just people and as varied as people are, so are parents. While I wouldn’t do this, I also don’t have the spawn of Satan teaching my child that it is acceptable behavior to be repeatedly disrespectful and demeaning to the father. So he snapped. As far as losing it goes, it comes off kind of mild. As for what the daughter has been doing, repeatedly, sounds like a pig from hell in the making. And why did Kim the Gremlin have a tape? And why did Kim the Gremlin think it was OK to embarrass her daughter by showing the world this tape.Maybe because daughter isn’t embarrassed. Maybe she is proud of learning to be an asshole like her mother. Maybe Kim bought her a new white seal pup coat for making the tape. Are mother/daughter snickering about it even now?

Which one of you thinks it is OK for an 11 year old (my Dad never did know how old any of us were) to be demeaning and disrespectful to her father to the point of “making him feel like shit”??

  26. FRIST!!!

I’ve lost it so many times it’s not even funny….well, kinda funny sometimes. But then you make up and all is good again. It’s just hard for me to picture Alec saying any of that, after seeing his mild-mannered ass on 30 Rock lastnight ofcourse.

  27. j

It sounds to me like the daugter is a spoiled little brat and Alec just got fed up.please this is nothing my mother has said a lot worse to me and i knew it was because i pushed her last button. this happens with most parents and their kids

  28. woodhorse

#104 Maybe you would have to call Adult Protective Services as 99% of that tape is describing how abusive the daughter is to the Dad….and how would an eleven year old learn to be so nasty unless she had Satan for a mother. Kim’s a great actress though. I guess that makes it OK.

  29. bellasera

oh please, my parents have done ten times worse. that mother is a thoughtless, selfish bitch to put this out there. the only ass here is her.

  30. woodhorse

#107 Why don’t you think it’s sad that Alec has to beg his daughter to be nice to him??

I’m sorry your parents weren’t what they should have been.

My Dad died last year. If I could have him back for just one day, it could be the worst one, the one where he had a horrible day at work (supporting 5 kids) and swore cause we left out bikes out (again) or whatever – just to have him back one day.

As much as it pains me to agree with BarbadoSlim (can I just call him BS?) – Ireland sounds like she’s made great progress in turning into a prize dirtbag.

  31. lilystar

“I am most saddened that this was released to the media….Once my book is published, I’m sure more people will understand”

    Hypocritical asshole.

This is not just a parent being fed up and “losing it”, he obviously is a bully with control issues who becomes verbally abusive when things don’t go exactly his way. And there is never justification to speak to a child that way. And god I wonder why she doesn’t answer when he calls, he’s such a sweet loving Daddy. Charming.

  32. Hagman

“Once my book is published, I’m sure more people will understand”

You have got to give him a tiny bit of credit for still finding the time to plug his new book, what a read that will be… im sure…. :/

  33. lilystar

In the same breath as he’s putting down his ex for going public…no less.

  34. lilystar

Hey, I accidentally posted a comment at 4:20 on 4/20…that’s kind of cool. Yes, sometimes easily amused.

  35. Skip Smith

You think it’s cool because it’s Hitler’s birthday.

  36. lilystar

Not really, but Alec Baldwin probably does. :p

  37. ManiacFive

Seriously? He’s apologising? I’ve just apologised to my ex she called me a few days ago and said. “i’m covered with choclate. come round take me now”
yeah i listened to that voice mail today. ooooo that sucked but i stil got some even though she was half asleep.
Alec baldwin just needs to get some! for Godsakes lades! sleep with this man!

  38. sxbby963

You know, talking to her like that will certainly teach her respect and mature behavior. Nothing like modeling how you want your kids to act in order to ensure that they follow your excellent example.

    Alec Baldwin is an asshole.

  39. Binky

I think Alec might be a little stressed that the Democrats have not exactly turned out to be the “Dream Team” lately.
Although he was blown up in ‘World Police’ – not sure this guy is any Rosie.

  40. BarbadoSlim

@131 …you can call me whatever you want, even Big Poppa Smurf.

  41. memememe

Oh, give me a break. He went off on the girl because he was upset. My mom use to go off on me all the time. If he cusses on a regular basis, I’m sure she’s use to hearing the language and I’m pretty sure it won’t scar her for life. Kids are sensitive and all, but lately, we take that way too far. They are sheltered from everything. People aren’t allowed to whoop that ass every now and then when it’s needed. And I’m not talking child abuse worthy… just a good old fashion ass whoopin’. We’ve got kids running around doing whatever they want and thinking, “MY PARENTS BETTER NEVER TALK TO ME THAT WAY…” Blah blah blah. MOST (and I say most because some parents aren’t worth a shit) parents deserve a little respect. Sure, they might not have been perfect, but they took care of our pathetic asses when we couldn’t do shit for ourselves. So, if she disrepected him then a little ass chewin’ ain’t gonna hurt anyone.

Oh and PIG? Give me a break!!!! We called each other worse on the playground in the 4th grade. GET THE HELL OVER IT!

  42. Binky

11 year old (smarty pants): Yeah Dad. I was watching the Colber Repor ™ on Thursday, with Sean Penn, and I’m having a few problems with your ‘Democratic’ party…..
(ok mom – run the tape)

  43. frenchie

142- Why should she respect him? Parents who repeatedly make selfish decitions based only on their need are not worth respecting. I’m sure that kid was let down by those two in a much grander magnitude. He had a choice as an adults to be a reliable parent but he chose otherwise. Now he demands it of her. It’s not fair. He needs to take a look in the mirror.

I agree on good old fashioned parenting to “whoop” an ass; however, traditional values are a part of that as well. He can’t behave one way and expect a different result. Everything that is happening to him was created by him.

  44. Binky

(#144 him and the and the evil doers)
Why doesn’t everyone just go shopping to get over things ?
Oh. ok. They already did that one

  45. woodhorse

#144 did you listen?? That 11 year old (yes #114, Kim taught her to be a pig, she must be so proud: next she’ll teach her acting) GAVE HER FATHER AN APPOINTMENT to call her. You don’t see anything wrong with that? How about Dad calls when he thinks he should and brat either answers or gets grounded? Maybe Ireland Pig (that’s her new name BTW, courtesy of Kim Pig) should live a year with kids who don’t have a Dad….

  46. anothershityear

my mom used to yell at me like that whenever i came too soon, what deja-vu she even has a voice just like that, i wasn’t aware there was anything wrong with it

k.bassetgar or whatever her fuckin last name is the little i know appears to be certifiable

if anything this increases the possibility that smart-alec (what the fuck just use an ‘x’ like everyone else) is the better parent, did the kid go to the fucking National Enquirer with this information??

just imagine your worst enemy hiding in your bushes recording whatever you say or do releasing anything they can to humiliate you for public consumption

clearly she was called a “pig” because she isn’t one, the context or whatever of the yelling had nothing to do with her looks, if anything he’s concerned she’s turning into kim-jr. or paris-jr. or some shit like that
i mean who amongst us hasn’t called a hottie a pig just to keep her in line a little this was nothing like that

at least i don’t think so i don’t have 11-or-12 (so fucking hilarious how old is she Alec) spawn so i don’t know jack-shit about this subject to begin with, growing up this kind of conversation happened all over the place, usually it’s from a concerned parent, is B.Spears going to have this kind of concern?

some funny shit for this topic, the asshole-asshole concept is particularly intriguing i wonder if Steven Hawking has discovered anything about that yet

i really enjoy some South Park episodes i didn’t get much out of Team America, i thought the celebrity deaths in Celebrity Deathmatch were a hell of a lot cooler and funnier, whatever the fuck this comment adds to the pursuit of world peace

  47. Trixie

This is the sound of a man who has been beaten down by his exwife. I watch my brother attempt to get in touch with his kids regularly, and they dont answer the phone. Days and days go by and he doesnt hear from them..but guess who’s paying the bills for them, private schools nd all? About time his little spoiled brat kids start paying some respect to their old man. The guy wouldnt be calling her in the first place if he didnt care. Alec Baldwin sounds like a defeated man, and I dont blame him for letting her have it.

  48. woodhorse

Thank you Big Papa Smurf. Don’t try and talk me out of it: I am going to sell bumper stickers. AND open a Barbeque down in 4th ward named Smoked Basinger Pig. AND advertise with a poster of Ireland with an apple in her mouth. (Free cell phone minutes with orders over $25.00)

  49. 1MILFhunter

If Alec and his hairy as a Geico caveman body had only kept his promise and left the country after W was elected, none of this may have happened.
