50 Cent Filed For Bankruptcy
You never let me down, Internet.
Curtis James Jackson III, the rapper better known as 50 Cent, filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Monday.
In court papers filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Hartford, Conn., Mr. Jackson reported assets and debts each in the range of $10 million to $50 million.
Back in May, Forbes listed 50 Cent’s worth as $155 million, so all of this could be some crazy financial shenanigans to pay as little as possible in the lawsuit even though I absolutely believe at end of the day it was entirely worth it to 50 Cent. Not only did he get to make a commentary track for a sex tape, but he went so far as to edit in his own character “Pimpin’ Curly.” He’d probably do it all over again in a heartbeat. The man lives to tell stories.
