Lindsay Lohan avoids paparazzi
Lindsay Lohan was leaving a West Hollywood tanning salon last week when she was besieged by paparazzi. I don't want to ruin it, but let's just say a photographer trips and hits their head on Lindsay's car and then the other paparazzi get into a fight. Oh yeah, and forget about that not wanting to ruin it thing, because I'm pretty sure I just did.
Thanks to Christian for the tip and TMZ for the clip. And thanks to me for being so good at rhymes.

Two separate incidents are shown here. I love how Lindsay just steps around the female photographer who falls down and groans in front of her. Lindsay reveals her true feelings for the paparazzi that have made her famous...that they are less than dog $hit to her.
2. Posted by maggixial on March 13, 2006 02:17 PM
they're less than dog shit to me too and I'm not even famous.
I find it awesome that girl fell.
3. Posted by Tracie on March 13, 2006 02:20 PM
I agree. Too bad the photographer jumped right back up so that Lindsay couldn't "accidently" run over her.
Of course, where would Lindsay be without them, though?

I too find it amusing watching that douchebag paparazzi fall. She looked and sounded like a video game character as she fell and then got up so quickly. These people have no lives -- they follow around untalented, slutty starlets with big goofy sunglasses and fake tans...and it's all your fault for buying Us Weekly.
5. Posted by Robin27 on March 13, 2006 02:24 PM
You guys defintely have points, I mean, its hard to feel sorry for her when she asked for this, and wouldn't be anywhere without the paparzzi (I feel the same about Jessica Simpson) but, it was GREAT when that lady fell and hit her head and Lindsay just walked around her, @ that moment I actually liked Lindsay. Wow, never thought I'd say that
6. Posted by Heather on March 13, 2006 02:26 PM
Ugh. Please tell me why people still give a flying shit about this freckled waif?
P.S. Lindsay didn't help the chick who fell because she's a ginger, and we all know that gingers have no souls.
7. Posted by booface on March 13, 2006 02:27 PM
Amen Gotham. No one should support these parasites by buying US & all that other crap. Now Superfish, on the other hand, well that's just good quality comedy.
8. Posted by Spindoc on March 13, 2006 02:27 PM
The only people worse that starlets and young hollywood celebrities are the parasites who make their living off them. I hope that fall hurt skank! Muwahahahahahahaha.

Can someone remind me why people are so eager to photograph this coke head, non talented, can't drive ho?

I've never understood people who argue that celebrities signed-up for this type of invasion of privacy when they decided to become an actor, singer, etc. How do you make the connection of someone wanting to follow their dreams with the paparazzi being able to follow their EVERY move. I think the people that came up with that ideal are the paparazzi themselves. Nobody deserves to be treated/hounded like that. It's not a celebs fault that they get paid well for generating the money they do for the studios - it's only fair! What's not fair is for people to sit back and say that being hounded is just par for the course and is the price they pay for becoming famous - uummm... what's wrong with this world? Give the girl some privacy... sheesh. Personally, I can't imagine someone following me around 24/7 let alone dozens of people following me around 24/7. No amount of money would make be worth that. I love this site though and everyone's catty comments!
11. Posted by blueballs on March 13, 2006 02:37 PM
oops nevermind, heather asked already....sorry.
12. Posted by BarbadoSlim on March 13, 2006 02:44 PM
I'm conflicted here as I am no fan of any of these pseudo celebrities, but maaaan seing some paparazzo douchebag do a faceplant sho' is funny as all hell.
hahahahahahaha...
13. Posted by amma on March 13, 2006 02:49 PM
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I gotta take La Lohan's side here. I don't think the paparazzi made her...I think her publicists did. And while I'm all for candid shots and gossipy tell alls...Usually the celeb doesn't have to be literally stalked for that kind of stuff. These guys are really acting like animals here. I mean, she was coming from a tanning salon, its ridiculous.
14. Posted by happy_bunny on March 13, 2006 02:50 PM
This video supports my ongoing theory: being a celebrity would suck.
Why are paparazzi so lame? What's so fascinating about someone walking to her car?
15. Posted by mamacita on March 13, 2006 02:57 PM
I actually saw this clip sometime last week and it cracked me the hell up!!! The thing I thought was the funniest was that after the woman fell, she said "sorry" for hitting the car. I have to admit, I feel bad for Lindsay in this video. Just because, ya know, she's going about her regular everyday business and these people are just RIGHT THERE, all up in her face and about 2 inches away from her the entire time. My opinion is that even if you knew, theoretically, what would happen when you become famous, you can't ever really comprehend what that's like until it actually happens.
16. Posted by boredatwurk on March 13, 2006 03:04 PM
She probably stepped over the women because if she actually stopped to help her up she would probably get swarmed even worse. That has got to get old.
17. Posted by DuckBoy on March 13, 2006 03:05 PM
the paparazzi are scum, if that bitch would have hit my Mercedes like that I would have ran her ass over
just imagine what poor Britney goes through...she has paparazzi on her 10x worse than that
and I hate when people say "that's what you get for being famous" because you can't even understand what it must be like until it happens to you.
you have no sense of self or privacy and that SHOULD NOT be one of the drawbacks of fame

This clip makes me think of those two-headed scorpions that will eventually turn on itself and are too dim-witted to realize they're using their own pincers to attempt attacking themselves to death.
Gotta love it.
19. Posted by PirateWench on March 13, 2006 03:16 PM
Hmm. I can't really take any sides or make any points cuz I find every, single person in this video repulsive. I feel dirty for having watched it.

21. Posted by LoneWolf on March 13, 2006 03:27 PM
#6 Heather - Lindsay's attitude was, "Screw you guys, I'm going home."
I don't accept the I-didn't-sign-up-for-this argument. If you don't want them around, it's pretty easy to avoid paparazzi. Just ask Valerie Bertinelli, Linda Blair, or Scott Baio. It's a lot easier to get out of show business than to stay in it.

#6-hehehe somebody likes southpark...
23. Posted by Merebear on March 13, 2006 03:34 PM
I think Lohan acted appropriately, considering the situation. What no one has mentioned yet is WHAT THE F**K is a freckled redhead doing in a tanning salon????? She deserves a dent in her Mercedes just for being a dumbshit who thinks she's immortal. Does she not realize that wrinkles and skin cancer removal scars are not going to get her any more B movie parts??? Freak.
24. Posted by MeganHarris on March 13, 2006 03:35 PM
It's a classic!!
25. Posted by MunchkinT on March 13, 2006 03:36 PM
She gets what she deserves with the papparazi following her! There are plenty of celebs who have a private life, because they don't broadcast to the world every move they make! Think about it . . . why do we know that LiLo got a cut on her ankle from dropping a tea cup after having a shower at Ryan Adams house? Because her mom freakin told the whole world about it! WHY? Because the ugly freckled ho needs any publicity she can get.
26. Posted by lysistrata11 on March 13, 2006 03:41 PM
I'm not so sure that klutz' should be hired to carry around expensive equipment...

i guess i fail to see where the interest is in this story.

when she dies of melanoma (skin cancer) next year let it be remembered that i said it here first.
29. Posted by bigfatmomma on March 13, 2006 04:08 PM
shouldn't she have enough money left to buy her own tanning bed and not have to put up with this?
30. Posted by Discourses on March 13, 2006 04:09 PM
I agree with Lonewolf #21.
Paparazzi is easily avoidable. Look at Prince for example, he's a huge star yet you never see any pictures of him. Why, because he lives in Minnesota (I think). If Lohan doesn't want to be stalked (which secretly they do don't be naive), move the f*ck out of L.A. or N.Y.!!!! I'm not however excusing those pathetic leeches called paprazzi, nor am I excusing our moronic celebrity obsessed culture.
31. Posted by booface on March 13, 2006 04:09 PM
Hey dum-dums, Tanning salons have this thing now called "Spray Tan", which doesn't cause skin cancer. You don't seriously think that she was born orange, do you?
32. Posted by pixelbasic on March 13, 2006 04:17 PM
#28 good point. This stinks of the ego-stroking unexpected mall appearances made by Sally Field in scenes from 'Soapdish'. A more common occurrence then their PR toadies would have us poor dumb huddle masses believe I'm sure.
33. Posted by gammanormids on March 13, 2006 04:22 PM
Hypocrite. For a person who doesn't mind nor care to be seen drunk evey night of her like by all media, it's almost funny that she covers her face when looks all apparently sobber and even well dressed.
34. Posted by playahater101 on March 13, 2006 04:29 PM
I gotta say, I still feel that if you want the fame, you have to deal with the consequences. And these girls wouldn't be half as famous as they are if it wasn't for the photographers following them, but now I can see their point. Those people are like hungry dogs fighting over a meal. All she's doing is leaving a salon and there's a good 15 photographers following her. What's so great about that? Those people should be hiding in the bathroom stalls of the clubs they hang at. THOSE are pics worth taking. And it's always great to see people fall. HAHAH!!
35. Posted by Grphdesi23 on March 13, 2006 04:32 PM
Wow, these comments for Lindsay Lohan just keep racking up......
36. Posted by gammanormids on March 13, 2006 04:44 PM
#32 "I gotta say, I still feel that if you want the fame, you have to deal with the consequence"
True. But also, you can act and show your talent, as many other do. These girsl like Lohan just want to feel what it¡s to be rich, popular and worshiped: If they really wanted to be famous, they would focus on their careers, or what it looks like,
37. Posted by stupida on March 13, 2006 05:24 PM

Watching these clips just made me sad. Sad that I share a planet with people this pathetic.

You know I freakin hate these paprazzi scum bags, and every one of them that gets hurt doing this asks for it. But truth be told, how can you not do it? You take a photo, and praise god there's a peek of nipple or camel toe, and your set for life! I sit here looking at my bank statement with $636.28 and rents due and I think....Fuck yeah, Smile Lindsay, over here Lindsay...ahhh come on, smile for us Lindsay...I feel so fucking cheap...

"I've never understood people who argue that celebrities signed-up for this type of invasion of privacy when they decided to become an actor, singer, etc."
I've never understood people who don't understand that. It's a fact of the business. That's like people who decide to become a school teacher and then complain about their wage. Or someone moving next to an airport and then complaining about the noise. They all know what they're getting in to. Especially when they start cashing 5 million dollar checks. BOO-FRICKIN-HOO.
41. Posted by gogoboots on March 13, 2006 07:09 PM
dude this must be the single most annoying shit you have to deal with. and i have no idea why anyone would want to take a million pictures of Linday Lohan while she's wearing a t-shirt and jeans and walking to her car to go shopping. it must be a REALLY lousy and boring job.
42. Posted by gogoboots on March 13, 2006 07:12 PM
Actually you never see paparazzi like this in NYC, unless it's a major event. Usually, it's in LA 'cause that's where all the scum of the earth inhabit...
43. Posted by nichole on March 13, 2006 07:57 PM
I dont care what people say about "oh, you get into Hollywood knowing what to expect." That just looks sooo fucking annoying, OMG.

I agree. Ick.
On the other hand, how come no one has mentioned the fight? That was pretty damn funny. Why did that guy pick a fight with someone so much bigger and obviously excessively angry.
Someone needs some valium.
45. Posted by boobtube on March 13, 2006 08:23 PM
If peopel were all up in your face with their flash on without even asking or being polite about it you would treat them like shit too. I applaud her for not reacting to that idiot tripping, in fact, I would have laughed at her and called her a racially demeaning name - even if it wouldn't have made any sense.
I'm not cutting Lohan any slack though, she is a piece of dirt just waiting to be next on cast of the next TeachMyAss amateur video collection.
46. Posted by ESQ on March 13, 2006 08:28 PM
Believe me, I am the first to jump on the wagon about this Raggedy Ann however the pooparazzi deserve just as much as they dish out - the same goes for stupid celebs/rock stars that snort a line of coke, make a sex tape, etc. you deserve what is coming to you.
I would have done the same thing Lindsay would have done, at least she did not kick them in the face, i.e. Dennis Rodman.
47. Posted by ESQ on March 13, 2006 08:33 PM
LOVE #45, I am with you.
48. Posted by Robin27 on March 13, 2006 09:43 PM
What I was saying when I say they asked for it was the people who use the media to get famous in the first place!! Lindsay milked her fued with hilary duff, and that basically made her who she is today...Jessica Simpson said she make that tuna or chicken comment because she knew that would make the media and inviting us in her home to follow her around MADE her famous! I could go on and on, I mean Britney...all she did was use the media and do publicity stunts to become more and more famous so PLEASE people! Merryl Streep, the girl who was in The Notebook, Alanis Morrisette, Scarlett Johanson THESE PEOPLE MADE IT ON THEIR TALENT! And, never used the media to their advantage and thats why they don't follow them around!! Jeez people! :-)
49. Posted by Robin27 on March 13, 2006 09:44 PM
^^^ supposed to be a smiley face @ the end :-)

i can't see the clip anymore. :(
anyone else having the same prob?
51. Posted by hafaball on March 13, 2006 11:25 PM
I really have no idea why people follow her. The only thing that comes to mind is her giant breasts...is that really enough though? People are starting to get sick of Paris, I just thought they'd be getting sick of her by now is all..
52. Posted by gogoboots on March 13, 2006 11:47 PM
Hey her breasts aren't even real, and she looks flat as a pancake in most of her pics except the one that was taken at that modeling shoot when her breasts were taped to make it look like she had big ones. SO THERE!
53. Posted by gogoboots on March 13, 2006 11:48 PM
I'm thinking she has detachable breasts, does anyone else?
54. Posted by JohnCameron on March 14, 2006 12:27 AM
Do her breasts even have any relevance to this topic?
And secondly, I watched the video and suddenly feel much worse for people who have to deal with paparazzi. That's just depressing, guys.
55. Posted by gogoboots on March 14, 2006 01:59 AM
Well, it will all stop once Lindsay goes nude in a film and wins an Oscar ;)!
56. Posted by chubby_cheekums on March 14, 2006 02:45 AM
Doesn't U.S. law actually recognize that public figures, by virtue of their career choice, enjoy less right to privacy than people who did not choose to work in fields that would invite public scrutiny?
I think the paparazzi are gross and it'd be tough to live that way, and I think Lindsay Lohan is actually a good actress, so I wouldn't credit the paparazzi or publicists with "making" her. But this is exactly the price one pays. And it goes a long way toward explainin' the coke habit.
57. Posted by ning_ning on March 14, 2006 04:06 AM
I'm so sick of this anorexic coke addict, wannbe.
58. Posted by Roni on March 14, 2006 07:38 AM
The paparazzi didn't make her famous, her fans did! The paparazzi made her tabloid famous, and who the hell wants that. The paparazzi showed how out of control they are, that's considered stalking, plain and simple.
59. Posted by Roni on March 14, 2006 07:59 AM
For those of you who say, this is the price of fame, I think it's just your age and the new hollywood that you see. Celebrities are not new and this is not the way it use to be, the tabloids are not new and have been around for a long time. I do believe that the press has over stepped their bounds and it needs to stop. There have always been scandles in the tabloids but it's the stars who walk around with body guards who are snapped from a distance and left alone. She has salon security around her that's it. They need to take thing back to the older days when the press knew their place and didn't get in their face, there is a time and place for these pictures and who really cares about her leaving a tanning salon, this is way out of control. She did not sign up for this type of stalking, she was a child star that has been able to have a career as an adult. As for the Linda Blairs, she is no longer an actress and wasn't able to make it as an actress as an adult. Few can.
60. Posted by hafaball on March 14, 2006 09:14 AM
Cameron...everything has to do with her boobs...that's why she became such a huge (no pun intended) actress. And I totally agree with you Roni, the paparazzi has been around for awhile, I mean the name was invented in 1960, and even before that you had Howard Hughes. Just now that there's 300 channels on tv, hundreds of magazines, and the internet, it's gotten a bit overboard.
61. Posted by MystressJade on March 14, 2006 10:24 AM
I thought I felt a little pity for her for a second....but I was wrong. I had explosive diarrhea.

DuckBoy, shut the hell up about Britney will you. Jesus, every fuckin time Ducky.
63. Posted by tribalchick on March 14, 2006 12:18 PM
two things i noticed:
1. it must suck to have those photogs chasing you all the time. seriously. she's just trying to get a tan. but then again, she did sign on for this lifestyle.
2. she didn't tip the security guard. i'm a little offended by that.
64. Posted by A Nobody on March 15, 2006 11:18 AM
What the hell is the point of always taking pictures of publicity whores? Do those dudes actually get paid?
