’19 Kids And Counting’ Is Cancelled

So remember that family that claimed transgender people would molest children in restrooms and then it turned out their own son had been molesting his sisters for years and when they got caught covering up Megyn Kelly let them come on Fox News and say the real crime was somebody “illegally leaked” the police report even though it was legitimately obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request? Their reality show just got cancelled. PEOPLE reports:

After nine seasons, 227 episodes and a number of one-off specials, TLC has officially canceled 19 Kids and Counting after star Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal resurfaced this spring.
The reality show “will no longer appear on the air,” the network told The Associated Press in a statement Thursday.

In typical form, the Duggars have released a statement where everything is God’s will and patting themselves on the back for being just a great moral compass for anyone else who finds their son molesting their daughters because you have so many fucking kids the kids are raising the kids. We’ve all been there, right?

With God’s grace and help Josh, our daughters and our entire family overcame a terrible situation, found healing and a way forward. We are so pleased with the wonderful adults they have all become.
It is our prayer that the painful situation our family went through many years ago can point people toward faith in God and help others who also have lived through similar dark situations to find help, hope and healing, as well.

Except the reward for the grossest statement goes to TLC president Marjorie Kaplan who only just now has learned child abuse exists and it all it took was a massive child molestation cover-up. And let’s not forget all of that shit that happened with Honey Boo Boo which specifically happened on her watch, but please, tell us how you’re now a guiding light for the abused. Us Weekly reports:

Kaplan, who heads TLC, Animal Planet, and Velocity, told the Associated Press on Thursday that she was “completely unaware” of how pervasive the issue of child abuse was. “I have learned a lot about this issue since,” Kaplan said, citing one staggering statistic of one in 10 children are victims of sexual abuse.
“This is a fundamental problem in this country, so we’ve become quite passionate about making sure that we educate people,” Kaplan continued. “We feel like we have a real obligation and an opportunity to create a moment here for people to be educated and for victims to find ways to come forward.”

“And that moment is Pedophile Wars! This fall on TLC watch as child molesters from around the country race to see who can catch the most kids except those kids turn out to be little people with axes because we’ve got like 50 on the payroll. It’s the only way to beat their curse. TLC: Educating America.”
