After his unlikely romance with Katherine Heigl in Knocked Up was the subject of intense skewering on Sunday’s episode of Entourage, Seth Rogen let E!’s Daily 10 know he thinks the show’s creater Doug Ellin is a moron:
“Yeah, those guys are assholes. I actually ran into Matt … Kevin Dillon in a Starbucks. And he’s like ‘You know, I’ve got to kind of apologize because apparently the guy who created our show doesn’t like you so much.’ And I said ‘Well, I have reason to believe because I think [showrunner] Doug Ellin is a moron from all I can understand so it makes sense he doesn’t like me.’ And I’ve kind of said some disparaging things about the show. Although in our defense, [producer] Mark Wahlberg called us misogynistic in an interview, so I think they kind of started that.
It’s on. Luckily I never have and never plan on watching Entourage.”
I kind of expected a snappier comeback from Seth Rogen besides “Yeah, well, I’m never watching their show.” Unless he knows something about premium cable ratings that I don’t. Is there a highly profitable Seth Rogen demographic I’m unaware of?

You can’t possibly criticize entourage without actually seeing the show. If doug ellen is taking out his personal angst through his tv show then that’s retarded. Haven’t seen Entourage, but those other HBO things are worthless (Sopranos, S.I.T.C.). Sopranos might be okay if The Punisher gutted one of those fat fucks every show.
Think I liked all the Seth Rogen movies I’ve seen. Losers are pretty funny. Hopefully seeing losers being worthless and stupid doesn’t glamorize drug use too much.

Entourage used to be an awesome show but,the last season was just plain boring and predictable, now their saying Obama will be on a episode this season? thats it for me, I’m glad I got rid of my cable, good riddance!

I agree with many-Entourage is WAAAYYYYY overrated. It was a hip thing for a high school-college age group but it is definitely past. Not to mention the plots, acting, and actors are horrible. I hadn’t watched for over a year and caught 5 minutes of it recently. It went from bad to worse.

Yeah, Rogen’s comeback was a tad prosaic for a dude who’s supposed to be a writer. Ah well. He still overwhelmingly eclipses the imbecility of Entourage, analogous to a basketball eclipsing a booger. Artistically, he’s better, commercially …jesus, add up the box office of his movies and any remaining dolt arguing the worth of his mettle needs to wipe my ass …the only job you’re qualified to have.

I`ve sat through 3 seasons, at friends houses etc. But I am going to stop there – its been a hollow and regrettable experience. Entourage is vaguely diverting and occasionally fun, but crucially for a TV drama – nothing actually really seems to happen. It drips with smugness (fine if there is something to be smug about, but not if your show is basically Friends for frat boys-albeit with less comedy) Any so-called dramatic crises get quickly resolved (problems which amount to landing another hugh movie deal or a pair of limited edition sneakers), every character is an obnoxious self-satisfied prick and gets bought a new ferrari at the end of every episode. You just wish that they would all die or end up homeless. Wahlberg puff project balls.
I have realized something while reading all of the PRO ENTOURAGE comments. It’s always about The cars are awesome and the chicks are hot. Never anything about fascinating dialogue or great acting.
From top to bottom the only project Seth Rogen has ever done that I disliked was “Observe and Report” but I don’t think he had a hand in that movie except the acting part. Freaks and Geeks was amazing, Undeclared amazing, 40-Year old virgin amazing Superbad amazing, Pineapple express amazing and if it weren’t for that cry baby bitch Kathryn Hiegel Knocked up would have been amazing but because of her Knocked up was pretty good.
